I don't really think this question fits within the motorcycle category, but I'll give it a try for you.
If it's a gas golf cart, it is obviously not being run by the battery. The battery only starts it. If there is a alternator or generator, you shouldn't have too many problems because the engine will recharge the battery as you drive- the same way as the battery is recharged on the car by using it. I've seen golf carts with battery-powered coolers, headlights, canopy lights, and a horn. The horn won't any- unless you choose to use it. These were battery-powered golf-carts, and the folks were able to put in their 18 holes and drive all over the housing development all day long.
If you haven't done so, a quick search on Google will give you several sites to browse: http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=DKUS,DKUS:2006-30,DKUS:en&q=golf+cart+parts
Depending on your needs, another option to consider would be to contact some golf courses in your area and ask to speak with the maintenance department. No doubt they will have a good working relationship with one or more suppliers of any and all parts and should be able to put you in touch with them.
You may connect the 12V(-) to the cart chassis but be careful not to connect the 12V(+) to the 6V(+).
You can use the chassis as ground for the accessories but make sure not to mix the 6V(+) and the 12V(+).
it would probably be better to ground all the 12 volt stuff directly to the battery so you dont get any weired interference issues. good luck
This question would be funny, but it is exactly why I refuse to walk a course — I have a slight bounce to my walk that is amplified when lugging the bag…
I will be VERY interested to read other answers…
